Aged Care And Community Services

Our Aged Care and Community Services team consists of approximately 38 staff, including a manager, NDIS support coordinator, chef and a multitude of local Aboriginal community support workers who make up 79% of our team.

Our team has a genuine interest in the community and are passionate about caring for the Elders, who have once cared for them.

At Aged Care and Community Services, we provide a variety of services to support elderly and/or disabled people and their carers in Maningrida through:

  • Residential facility
  • Home Care Packages (HCP)
  • Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Support Services

Residential Facility

Our Aged Care residential facility is a 10-bed facility, operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and is set alongside the coast, providing us with beautiful sunsets every day. It is a safe and comfortable environment that promotes independence and choice and encourages family visits and interactions, maintaining strong cultural family connections.

Home Care Packages (HCP) & Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)

We provide support services to community clients in order to maintain optimal health and well-being whilst remaining at home with their family for as long as possible.

Support services can be accessed 7 days per week and, depending on the client's individual plan, can include:

  • Personal care
  • Activities
  • Domestic assistance
  • Meals
  • Medication delivery and prompting
  • Transport

To access services for residential, Home Care and/or Commonwealth Home Support Programs, community clients are required to be over the age of 50.

Aged Care services require a referral through the My Aged Care Portal, and we can assist you with this process.

To access NDIS services, you need to be under the age of 50. You will also require a referral from a Doctor.
